Many opportunities exist at Erwine Home Health and Hospice for volunteers to assist directly or indirectly with patient care.
Dr. Wallace Stettler volunteers
his time as a chaplain to council
patient and families. Dr. Stettler
has found the time he gives so
useful and rewarding that he has
been doing it for over 4 years.
You don’t have to be a
professional to volunteer. Men and women from all walks can do help make a difference in someone’s life. The amount of time you have may vary throughout the year and we understand that. Any time you can give will be rewarding and appreciated. Your time and abilities can help through direct service or indirect service to patients.
Direct Service include:
-
• Errands/transportation for hospice patients.
-
• Socialization with patients, caregiver respite support
-
• Bereavement support for families.
Indirect Service include:
-
• Clerical/office support
-
• Letter writing
-
• Support for special events.
You have the power to make a difference
in someone’s life, get involved - volunteer!
